How it all comes together... |
Nice to meet you!
This first stage is the most important part of the entire project. Grab a cup of tea as we'll begin with the all-important Project Brief. Here I find out about you, your business and your requirements. I will need to establish some important aspects such as your target audience, what features you would like and the main sections/pages of your website.Planning
I will ask you to provide the content for your site; the page titles, the text and any specific images, such as logos. This forms the structure of your site.Next, I'll set up your domain name (www.yourcompany.co.uk) and hosting if your site is brand new. If you need an integrated blog or social media set up (Facebook and Twitter), I can do this too.
Design
I start with a blank canvas and create a site from scratch based on your Project Brief. This is when things really start to take shape!I will provide you with mock-up designs so you can provide feedback and let me know what you like and don't like. Only when a final design is approved do we move to the next stage.
Development
It is at this stage that all the behind-the-scenes stuff happens. I hand-code the XHTML and CSS, which is how your site becomes functional and real. I input all your content and images, set up a contact form and integrate a blog and social media. (If required)I will also set up Google Analytics to track the visitor statistics, put in some additional Search Engine Optimisation code and test that everything works.
As you can probably tell, this stage takes the longest, but I will keep in touch with you and make sure your website is becoming what you want it to be!
Ta-dahh!
Here I make your site live online and you can let everyone know that you have a new website! But that's not the end... Once your website is launched, there will no doubt be news updates and additional information and maintenance. I can assist with future enhancements.
